All the above are responsible for the maintenance and repair of all the electrical equipment on board the rig, right down to changing light bulbs.

On occasion they may have to work more than the normal 12 hour shift. They can be called out at any time during their time off to fix a major problem. This is rare.

There will be times when they will have to work at height. In a work basket, hoisted by crane or air winch. Occasionally they may have to don a riding belt (harness) and get hoisted by air winch.
