Building and maintenance of offshore wind energy installations is in some ways similar to the offshore oil industry. Many of the skills are transferable depending on what you were doing offshore.

If you have offshore oil industry experience, you will have a better chance of getting a job in the wind energy industry than someone similar to you, who has not been offshore.

People with electrical and / or mechanical experience are especially sought after, but if that does not apply to you, there are still potential openings.
