Weir Group Profits Rise

High oil prices mean boom times for oil companies. Exploration and service companies all become a lot busier. This has a knock on effect for many thousands of other companies, large and small, where at least a proportion of their business is involved with providing products or services for the oil industry.
Engineering firm Weir provide pumps and other equipment for oil, mining and other industries. Shares in the Glasgow based company rose sharply in light of their rise in profits last year.
